The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) will host a free webinar for Extension agents covering organic certification and standards.
The virtual session, “Organic 101 for Extension Agents: Understanding Certification, Standards, and Producer Journeys,” will be held on March 31, 2026, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET. The webinar, hosted by OFRF in partnership with Florida Organic Growers and Southern SARE, is designed to help Extension agents, technical service providers and others interested in organic systems better understand organic certification and USDA standards.
The first half of the session will cover the basics of organic certification and key regulatory standards, followed by an expert panel discussion featuring:
- Eva Worden of Worden Farms
- Danielle Treadwell of University of Florida
- Juan Carlos Rodriguez of Florida Organic Growers
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the panelists about organic certification, standards, and practical experiences on the farm.
