Workshop to explore organic pest and pollinator strategies in Florida

Florida growers can learn practical, research‑based methods for managing pests and supporting pollinators at a half‑day workshop, Organic Solutions for Integrated Pest and Pollinator Management, on Feb. 20 at Flora Groves Farm in Thonotosassa.

Florida Organic Growers logo.Attendees will hear from extension specialists, researchers and community partners about topics including managing chilli thrips and Pamera seed bugs in organic strawberries, selecting easy‑to‑grow pollinator plants, and opportunities through Florida Organic Growers and the Southeast Transition to Organic Partnership Program. The workshop will also highlight Homegrown Hillsborough initiatives and other local organic programs.

The session is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with refreshments and a light lunch provided. Registration is free but space is limited. Reserve your spot or ask questions at setopp@foginfo.org.
