July apple holdings storage reported by USApple

The latest U.S. apple storage report from USApple shows a seasonal storage decline from June to July.

On July 10, the U.S. Apple Association, via its USAppleTracker report, reported the total number of apples in storage on July 1 was 39 million bushels.

USAppleWhile USApple reports there are no historical July data points with which to calculate year-over-year changes for the July reporting period, the July number is smaller than June’s 54 million bushels, which was 17% higher than the five-year average for that date. June’s report was 5% less than June of 2024, when apple storage totaled 57 million bushels.

Fresh apple holdings in July totaled 29 million bushels. In June, fresh apple holdings were 40 million bushels, 2% less than the inventories reported for June 2024 and 22% more than the June five-year average.

Processing holdings totaled 11 million bushels. In June, processing apple storage totaled 15 million bushels, 13% less than 2024 on June 1 and 7% more than the June five-year average.
