TDA opens National Organic Certification Cost Share Program applications

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) has opened applications for the National Organic Cost Share Reimbursement Program, which provides financial assistance to organic producers, processors, distributors and other handlers seeking organic certification.

The program helps offset the expenses associated with organic certification, which can be complex and costly.

“This grant is designed to help offset the costs of that certification,” said Commissioner Miller. “TDA is committed to supporting the organic industry in Texas.”

The program, funded through a cooperative agreement between the USDA and TDA, covers up to 75% of an individual producer’s certification costs, with an annual maximum of $750 per certificate or certification category.

Detailed instructions and 2024 application materials are available on TDA’s website. For more information, contact TDA.
