“I am excited to return to my roots working on agriculture policy,” Mihalick said in a news release. “I’m eager to work with my colleagues and other stakeholders to continue the growth of organic agriculture and to build on the gains that organic achieved in the last Farm Bill.”
He is a licensed attorney in New York and Maryland and is a graduate of Syracuse University and the Hofstra University School of Law.
“Peter’s experience in advocacy and in shaping policy and his ability to work across the public and private sectors will serve us well,” OTA CEO Tom Chapman said. “This is a critical time for organic, and the addition of Peter to our staff will strengthen our efforts to make the voices and perspectives of organic heard and respected.”
