Organic Seed Alliance calls for Organic Seed Growers Conference presentations
The Organic Seed Alliance is calling for papers to be presented at next year’s Organic Seed Growers Conference.
The 12th Organic Seed Growers Conference is scheduled for Feb. 26 – March 1 in Corvallis, Oregon.
The conference organizers are inviting seed growers, researchers and others to help shape the conference by providing input for the agenda.
Proposals and submissions are due July 19.
The conference is touted as the largest organic seed event in the U.S. and will be a hybrid event with both in-person and online components. It will include five days of workshops, demonstrations, farm tours, lightning talks, art, regional/topical/affinity synergy spaces and keynote presentations, according to a news release.
“This is an opportunity to share important skills and research, and ask timely questions related to organic seed,” according to the release. “We welcome your proposals and suggestions. We are particularly interested in proposals that include growers from Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and LGBTQIA+ seed communities.”
Based in Port Townsend, Washington, with regional offices in Arcata, California, and Madison, Wisconsin, the Organic Seed Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to puts the power of seed into growers’ hands. The organization works to ensure an abundant and diverse supply of ecologically grown seed, tended in perpetuity by skilled and diverse communities of seed stewards. The organization serves growers working with seed across the U.S. at any scale through research, education, policy advocacy and network development.
