National Organic Standards Board to hear public comments this week

The National Organic Standards Board will begin hearing public comments by webinar on Tuesday in advance of its biannual public meeting to discuss and vote on recommendations to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The recommendations help the USDA develop and refine the organic standards.

The NOSB will hear public comments by webinar Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. The in-person public meeting will take place April 25-27 in Atlanta at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown. It will be streamed for those unable to attend.

Meeting Zoom links, agenda, proposals, discussion documents and Federal Register notice are available online on the NOSB Spring 2023 Meeting webpage.

All speakers making public comments have signed up and been notified by email of the commenting order.

Members of the public will be able to hear the live comments and board deliberations, and see any slides presented.

Public comments and board deliberations will be recorded. Presentations and a transcript of all five days will be posted to the NOP website.
