‘Limited edition’ red bunch carrots offered by Cal-Organic Farms

Cal-Organic Farms, which markets itself as the nation’s largest producer of organic vegetables, said this week it is now shipping organic red bunch carrots from Coachella, California.

A division of Grimmway Farms, Cal-Organic is offering its exclusive red bunch carrots for a limited time and supplies are expected to last until the end of March, according to a press-release from the company.

Bob Borda, Vice President of Organic Sales at Grimmway Farms, said in the release that the organic root vegetables have a good, sweet flavor in addition to the rare color.

“With solid red color through the root, Cal-Organic red carrots make for beautiful plate presentation providing vibrant table spreads,” he said.

Cal-Organic is selling the red bunch carrots in 12- and 24-count cases with green tops intact.

Cal-Organic’s limited red carrot program is fully integrated with its year-round vegetable program and Grimmway’s category-leading carrot business, according to the release.
