Public hearings hosted by California DPR
In July, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) will host three public hearings to review proposed regulations.
In July, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) will host three public hearings to review the proposed regulations for a statewide notification system concerning the application of restricted material pesticides. The goal of these hearings is to inform the public ahead of pesticide applications.

The hearings are scheduled for:
- Friday, July 12, in Stanislaus County, tentatively in Turlock
- Monday, July 15, held virtually on Zoom
- Tuesday, July 23, in Kern County, tentatively in Wasco
DPR seeks public participation and feedback on the proposed regulation.
“Our goal is to protect human health and the environment by ensuring transparency and safety in pesticide use,” according to a DPR email.
