NC State helping growers harmed by Hurricane Helene
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at NC State University is focused on providing support and assistance to members of the CALS and agricultural communities affected by Hurricane Helene.
The N.C. Disaster Information Center website, coordinated by NC State Extension, has information on numerous resources available in the wake of Helene, and will continue to share timely updates.
“The impact of Hurricane Helene on our students, families, faculty, staff and agricultural communities in Western North Carolina is profound,” Garey Fox, CALS dean, said in a news release. “Many of us have friends, colleagues and family navigating the aftermath — including those in our county Extension offices and research stations. Please know that the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences supports you during this difficult time. We are in this together.”
