Manzana Products Co. plans to invest an additional $2 million to upgrade its organic applesauce production facility in Sunnyside, Washington. The outlay follows a previously announced $60 million pledge in Yakima County in 2024.

Manzana says its new investment will focus on improvements to the company’s organic applesauce jar production line, including a conveying system for empty jars and an upgraded cleaning system. The upgrades are intended to increase production capacity and support additional product variations, such as applesauce blended with other fruits.

The Sunnyside facility, located in the Yakima Valley, is expected to begin initial operations in September 2026. Installation of the upgraded jar line is scheduled to begin in May 2027, with expanded operations anticipated by August 2027.

The expansion is expected to support increased processing volumes and may lead to additional production shifts. The facility is located in Yakima County, a major U.S. apple-producing region.

Manzana Products is a subsidiary of Agrial, a French agricultural cooperative, and produces applesauce and other apple-based products for domestic and international markets.
