Florida Hurricane Milton emergency bridge loan program offered
Florida is providing $50 million in emergency funding for growers and businesses affected by Hurricane Milton.
Florida Commerce has activated the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program, offering $50 million to support businesses impacted by Hurricane Milton, with a focus on agriculture.
Small businesses, including sole proprietors in eligible counties, can apply for short-term, zero-interest loans.
Agricultural and aquaculture businesses can request up to $100,000, while citrus and cattle operations can secure loans up to $150,000. These loans act as a financial “bridge” while awaiting insurance or federal aid.
Applications are open until December 4, 2024. More information is available online.
