New Balchem Plant Nutrition product targets yield and sustainability

A new biological solution from Balchem Plant Nutrition touts its ability to increase plant health, yield and sustainability.

Metalosate StimPlus, a combination of chelated minerals, amino acid and seaweed extract, debuted today at World Ag Expo in Tular, California. It can protect plants from drought, heat, cold and other stressors while delivering a 3-to-1 return on investment, according to a company news release.

The natural mode of action in Metalosate StimPlus also contributes to healthier ecological sustainability practices like soil microbiome enhancement, encouraging plant health, higher yields and less impact on minerals leaching into the water table, according to the release.

“Our team developed Metalosate StimPlus as a solution to growing concerns about maximizing plant growth potential, increasing tolerance to abiotic and oxidative stress, and increasing sustainable agriculture solutions,” Jeremy O’Brien, Balchem Plant Nutrition global sales director, said. “We found a way to do all those things with one formula. It is ultimately a tool for farmers to increase yields, quality and financial productivity.”

Metalosate StimPlus is approved for foliar and ground application and is available at select agriculture retailers in California.
