Highland Ag wins analytics award
Highland Ag MarketWatch has been recognized as “Analytics Innovation Of The Year” by an organization that honors ag tech companies.
AgTech Breakthrough, a leading market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global agricultural and food technology markets, recognized Highland Ag in the 4th yearly AgTech Breakthrough Awards program.
Highland Ag’s data product, Highland Ag MarketWatch, provides subscribers with aggregated and anonymized insights into market pricing, inventories, rejection rates, and trends while benchmarking company performance against the industry in one application with data directly from a marketer’s ERP. Real-time insights are delivered, allowing subscribers to stay up to date with the latest developments and make decisions based on a near real-time view of the market. The solution also actively engages with subscribers by partnering with them to ensure optimal platform usage, according to a news release.
Highland Ag MarketWatch is unique in that its focus is only on the fresh produce industry, specifically small to large-scale marketers, Highland officials said in the release.
“At Highland, we believe data is the key to unlocking success in agriculture,” Justin Machell, Highland Ag’s CEO, said in the release. “We are thankful AgTech Breakthrough has singled it out for the ‘Analytics Innovation of the Year’ award. We set out to change global fresh produce businesses by providing insights that help them make better decisions. By leveraging the one-of-a-kind features of this platform, businesses can gain a competitive edge, make informed decisions, and drive growth in a dynamic and ever-evolving market.”
The AgTech Breakthrough Awards program’s mission is to conduct the industry’s most comprehensive analysis and evaluation of agricultural and food technology categories, including Internet-of-Things and Artificial Intelligence based agricultural technologies, farm management, indoor farming, food quality and data analytics. This year’s program attracted more than 1,750 nominations from more than 15 countries.
Highland Ag provides digital solutions for food safety, compliance, and data management through a virtual ecosystem called Highland Hub, allowing growers, packers, marketers, and shippers to control their businesses.
