FFVA convention registration opens
Registration is now open for one of the Sunshine State’s largest grower events.
Scheduled for Sept. 25-27, the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association’s (FFVA) yearly convention returns to the Ritz-Carlton hotel on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico in Naples, Florida.
FFVA 2023 is being designed to bring a variety of industry information and activities to Florida’s specialty crop growers.
“This year’s convention will bring together the leading voices in Florida agriculture for thought-provoking conversations on the top issues facing the industry today,” according to a news release. “Grab your spot now and stay tuned for more exciting news in the coming weeks about this year’s event.”
Hotel reservations must be made separately, FFVA advises. Once convention registration is complete, attendees will receive links to make hotel reservations and secure their spots in the golf and fishing tournaments. FFVA members: must sign-in to the website to register at the discounted member hotel rate.
The event includes educational issue sessions, a State of the Industry luncheon and a keynote breakfast, sessions and events honoring the Class 12 Emerging Leader Development Program, the Florida Specialty Crop Foundation board of directors meeting as well as a golf tournament and a fishing excursion. Issues forums topics are scheduled to be announced by July.
The convention’s sponsors include Everglades Equipment Group, Florida Coast Equipment, FMC Corp., Fresh from Florida, RaboAgriFinance and Seminis.
Dress for the convention is business casual.
The Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association is the state’s leading full-service specialty crop organization, serving Florida’s grower-shipper community since 1943. FFVA represents a broad range of crops, including vegetables, citrus, tropical fruit, berries, sod, sugar cane and tree crops.
