Sym-Ago adds 3 managers to sales team

California-based Sym-Agro Inc. has hired three sales professionals for the Pacific Northwest and California.

Shaun Lough, Jeremy R. Kenkel and Jon Martin have recently joined the company in sales management positions.

“As our company continues to grow and increase distribution of products nationwide, the importance of adding to our sales team paralleled with the opportunity to welcome all three highly experienced professionals to our team this year,” Peter Bierma, president and CEO of Sym-Agro, said in a news release. “Well-known in the agricultural community for many years already, we feel very fortunate to have the extensive expertise of Shaun, Jeremy and Jon representing the Sym-Agro portfolio of biopesticide products and continuing to strengthen relationships with growers and distribution partners.”

Lough has 30 years of experience as a Washington State Licensed Commercial Consultant and joins Scott Carpenter as Pacific Northwest sales manager. He has degrees in Agricultural Economics and Agronomy & Horticulture from Washington State University.

Kenkel brings 17 years of experience in agriculture consulting as a California Pest Control Advisor to his position of Northern California sales manager. He has a degree in Agricultural Business from California State University, Chico.

Martin has nine years of experience in viticulture as a California Pest Control Advisor, and is Coastal California sales manager, a new position at Sym-Agro. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, as well as an M.S. in Agriculture-Crop Science.

“These are exciting times for our company, and we’re honored to have new sales team members of this caliber join our organization,” Bierma said in the release.

Many of the company’s products, including ProBlad Verde, a fungicide newly available throughout the U.S., are Organic Materials Review Institute listed for organic use.
