State of Organic Produce 2023 report available

The Organic Produce Network’s latest State of Organic Produce report is available.

The free State of Organic Produce includes data and analysis of 2023 retail sales of organic fresh produce. It includes the 20 top category performers — from berries to kale — in organic produce, retailer and wholesaler snapshots, and year-over-year growth of organic fresh produce sales compared to conventionally grown produce.

The leading commodities are also broken down by region-specific performance.

“Repeating its percentage shares of the prior two years, organic produce made up 12% of all retail produce sales and accounted for 7% of total produce volume in 2023,” according to the report.
