Research foundation, USDA offer help with organic grants
The Organic Farming Research Foundation is presenting a webinar for researchers who are interested in applying for an Organic Agriculture Research and Extension Initiative (OREI) grant.
The grants are through the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF), which is presenting the webinar with NIFA, will address how to start the process and connect with a farmer or other researchers for on-farm research.
The free, 1.5-hour webinar starts at 2 p.m. Eastern on Jan. 10. Registration details are online.
The virtual networking event provides an opportunity for researchers to connect, share and fortify ideas and opportunities for working together, according to the OFRF.
The webinar will highlight key components of a successful OREI grant project and give a sneak peek to a new OFRF report that outlines the successes and strengths of funded OREI research projects and research gaps. A facilitated Q&A and engaging breakout sessions will follow, to provide opportunities for project development, collaborative discussions and networking.
