Lipman’s organic vegetables to be featured at Organic Produce Summit
Lipman’s organic and fresh-cut vegetables will be on display at this year’s Organic Produce Summit (OPS).
The Immokalee, Florida-based Lipman Family Farms will be exhibiting at the July 12-13 conference and trade show in Monterey, California.
At the show, Lipman plans to showcase its Grown True-branded organic vegetable line of tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchinis, peppers, and green beans.
“Grown in harmony with nature, our Grown True organic vegetables are picked fresh from our fields for consistent quality and taste,” Sarah Miller Dehn, Lipman’s general manager, said in a news release. “In addition, we will be showcasing the sustainable and compostable packaging that our Grown True vegetables are packed in during our return to OPS this summer.”
Lipman’s Grown True organic line includes fresh-cut organic green beans. The USDA-certified organic, consumer-ready clipped and clean green beans are grown and harvested by Lipman year-round. The hand-selected product is in steady supply and is packaged to ensure a long shelf-life and easy eating for consumers, according to the release.
Additionally, Lipman expanded its compostable packaging line in commitment to reducing waste across Lipman’s operations. The company’s 100% compostable clamshells have replaced more than 12,000 pounds of plastic.
Lipman has become one of the largest U.S. integrated networks of growers, fresh-cut processors and distributors of fresh produce. The company prides itself in being an international company that remains family-owned, ensuring the growers’ ability to act as good stewards of the land and its people, creating growth that nourishes everyone, according to the release. “We are large enough to be local everywhere and are dedicated to being good from the ground up, providing solutions in research & development, field growing, greenhouse growing, procuring, packing, repacking, fresh-cut processing, distributing, food safety, and culinary development,” according to the release.
