Kroger organic brand marks 10th anniversary with special offers
The Kroger Co.’s $3 billion Simple Truth brand is marking its 10th anniversary this year. The organic and free-from brand offers more than 1,500 items focused on accessibility and simple ingredients.
To celebrate the milestone, Kroger is offering 10 times fuel points on all Simple Truth organic and free-from purchases with a digital coupon from Jan. 18-31, along with a five times digital event for natural and organic items.
“A decade ago, Simple Truth was born when we identified that our customers wanted a simpler way to shop for free-from and organic products,” said Juan De Paoli, vice president of Our Brands. “The mission we started with 10 years ago remains our promise today — to offer delicious foods that are free from 101 artificial ingredients our customers do not want in their products at an accessible price.”
More than 101 artificial colors, flavors, preservatives and sweeteners are not found in free-from products. The brand’s products also offer minimally processed, naturally raised meats that are fed a 100% vegetarian diet, without antibiotics or added hormones. Simple Truth products are produced by organic growers and handlers certified by agencies and organizations accredited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Simple Truth products include mixed berry granola and natural cage-free large brown eggs, as well as organic garbanzo beans, apple juice, creamy peanut butter, whole white mushrooms and mixed vegetables.
More than 30 million households, or more than half of Kroger customers, purchase Simple Truth products annually, according to the company.
