Free webinar to explore practical orchard soil health strategies
A free Aug. 19 webinar will provide organic and conventional orchard growers with practical, research-based strategies for improving soil health, boosting orchard performance and implementing regenerative management practices.
Organic and conventional orchard growers are invited to attend a free webinar focused on regenerative soil health practices that can produce measurable results in commercial orchards.
“Soil Health That Works: Practical Strategies for Orchards” is scheduled for Aug. 19 from 4-5 p.m. PST.
The one-hour program is geared toward hazelnut growers, orchard managers, crop consultants, agricultural professionals and other perennial crop producers interested in improving soil health and orchard productivity.
Oregon soil health experts will discuss the foundations of soil health in orchard systems and examine which regenerative practices can improve orchard performance. The program will also highlight how growers are applying soil health principles in commercial orchards and offer research-based strategies attendees can begin using in their own operations.
The webinar is presented by Oregon State University Extension Service, the Oregon Climate & Agriculture Network and the Oregon Organic Hazelnut Collective.
