Farm Bureau names four finalists for $100,000 ag innovation prize
Four agricultural startups have advanced to the final round of the 2027 Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge, where they will compete for a top prize totaling $100,000.

The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), in partnership with Farm Credit, named Seismi and Nave Analytics of Nebraska, Swinergy of Minnesota and Good Agriculture of Georgia as finalists. Each received an initial $10,000 prize after advancing from a group of 10 semifinalists.
The semifinalists participated in a virtual pitch round evaluated by three judges representing sectors of the agricultural supply chain.
The four finalists will compete Jan. 10 at the AFBF Convention before an audience of Farm Bureau members, investors and industry representatives. The competition winner will receive a total of $100,000, while the runner-up will receive a total of $25,000.
“The future of agriculture is being shaped by innovators like these four finalists,” Zippy Duvall, AFBF president, said. “They are transforming bold ideas into practical tools and technologies that will help farmers and ranchers thrive.”
The Ag Innovation Challenge is in its 13th year. The competition focuses on rural entrepreneurs developing agriculture- and food-related businesses. Farm Bureau is providing $145,000 in startup funding during this year’s competition.
