The product is an especially important solution for indoor cannabis (marihuana) growers in Canada struggling with rice root aphids on organic cannabis, according to the news release.

BioCeres G WP uses the Beauveria bassiana ANT-03 strain fungus, a product registered with the Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), approved for organic production and suited in integrated pest management programs (IPM). When the Beauveria bassiana fungus comes in contact with the host, the spores germinate, penetrating the exoskeleton of the insect, infecting the pest’s body and killing it.

BioCeres G WP is effective in managing detrimental infestations by rice root aphids when applied via soil drench or foliar spray for all pest pressures, according to the news release. By incorporating BioCeres G WP into IPM programs, the root aphid infestations can be controlled in a number of days, according to the news release.

A family-owned company with U.S. manufacturing, BioSafe Systems since 1998 has provided solutions for protecting crops, water and people.
