“Organic produce continues to take center stage in leading overall produce sales and volume gains. Over the past two years, consumers have made a clear connection regarding their personal health and the role of organic fresh produce. And as the data clearly shows, organic produce is – and will remain – a key driver of retail sales,” said Tonya Antle, co-founder of Organic Produce Network.

Working with Category Partners, a strategic data analysis and insights company, OPN provided three quarterly updates of organic fresh produce sales throughout the past year. State of Organic Produce 2021 provides a deeper dive into last year’s top 20 organic fresh produce items (by sales).

The 64-page report also includes commentary from several of the organic industry’s major trade organizations and associations, highlighting their work in promoting and protecting the integrity of organic fresh produce.

In addition to the downloadable version of the report, hard copies are being mailed to over 1,000 retailers. For further information about the report, please contact OPN at info@organicproducenetwork.com or (831) 884-5058.

The downloadable report is available for viewing here.

OPN was founded in January 2017, to connect facets of the organic produce community through education, information and live events.
