  Protecting crops with light treatment

Boulder, Colorado-based startup IntraLight has completed development of its light treatment technology that automatically protects crops from pests and pathogens with daily light treatments. Using a proprietary spectrum, IntraLights severely damage pest and pathogen DNA, destroying their ability to grow and reproduce. The new crop protection technology replaces chemical pesticides, removing material and labor expenses while allowing growers to capture the increased value of organic produce.

  International biotech firm GroPro hires US national sales director

GroPro Corp., an international Biotech bio-fertilizers, bio-stimulants and bio-pesticides manufacturer headquartered in Burnsville, Minnesota, has hired Warren Hragyil as national sales director. Hragyil has decades of experience in U.S. Agriculture markets, primarily focused on areas of crop protection sales, marketing and operations. He has worked in senior sales and management roles at Simplot, Adama, Aligned Ag Distributors, United Suppliers Inc. and others.
